Nymburk Terminal: bridge between road and rail transport

The construction of the terminal in Nymburk is a joint project of ČD Cargo and MEDLOG. This terminal will become an important transhipment point between truck and rail transport, as well as a cargo handling centre.

The terminal will enable large quantities of freight to be transported by rail, which will help to relieve the road network and reduce congestion. A complete cargo handling infrastructure will be available, including a crane and modern warehousing facilities. This will provide the ability to handle cargo quickly and efficiently, increasing its transport capacity.
The Nymburk terminal will significantly support greener rail transport, which will contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions and improve air quality in the region.
The Memorandum of Representatives of Terminál Nymburk s.r.o. and the City of Nymburk was signed in April 2023 and is an important document that serves to officially capture the agreement and cooperation between the two parties. This Memorandum sets out the common objectives and commitments for the development of the Nymburk terminal and provides for cooperation in logistics and transport.
The establishment of the Nymburk terminal is expected to increase trade in the region and increase demand for labour. The creation of new jobs will benefit both the local population and the economy of the region. The Nymburk terminal will also be an important logistics hub for companies based in the Nymburk North industrial zone. At the same time, the direct connection to the Baltic, North Sea and Mediterranean ports makes Nymburk Terminal an ideal point for unique door to door delivery solutions across Europe.
